Sometimes I'd just like to pet a buffalo
The trick is to sneak up and not make a yell
Now there is a place, with bulls and cows and calves
Just got to hide it from the park personnel

DON'T TAKE YOUR GUN TO SCHOOL

A young school boy named Ethan C. grew restless with is life
A boy filled with awful hate who really meant to fight
He had his gun in his pack
And told no one where it was bought
And his mother lied when he was caught

He laughed, and kissed his mom, and said, "your Ethan C's a man"
I can shoot as quick, and straight as anybody can

But she cried again as he walked off

He walked along on his way his gun was in his pack
He walked into the school and fired off his rounds
He stopped 'em dead right there- 4 students in their tracks
When Mrs C. heard the news she sent her son these loving words

He tried to leave the school then to get away and hide
And tried to tell himself at last the bullies died
A newsman told him 'no sir, the ones you shot were not them
And he heard again his mothers words

Filled with fear then his parents fled the scene for Canada
The police knew their whereabouts before they could pull out
Surrounded them right there and placed them both in cuffs
Now the judge will have these final words
Don't give your son a gun man
If he's a mental case

Now mom and dad are both in jail for the parts they played
The judge denied them both the bale, their nerves are surely frayed
Guilty the jury said on mom's manslaughter case
Mr. Crumbley waits his turn for a chance to save his face
What kind of parents are these who give their son a gun?
He asked them for their help, he knew he wasn't having fun
They had their chance to save the four but now they're three jailbirds
And once again the judge will have to say these final words

If he's a mental case
